Client is seeking a product manager. In this role, you will indirectly lead approximately 100 engineers, guiding the product development process for a new class of computer networking system. You will interact with customers around the globe to lead the market and translate market requirements into product features. You will work directly with the VP of marketing and CEO, based in California, and a team of outstanding engineers daily. Your responsibilities will include: developing Product Requirements Documentation, managing product release cycles, representing the company as a technical expert with customers, and translating market knowledge into strategic initiatives.

Ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in computer networking security (as a developer of switching, firewall, anti-virus, Intrusion prevention, VPN systems). This candidate will be a leader who is able to conceive and articulate end-user benefits for technical concepts. Experience in established enterprise network systems companies is desired

Job Description
Candidate will be required to design and develop test software to verify conformance of feature functionality implemented by Engineering against requirements specifications laid out by Product Marketing.
Towards this the candidate will Design a test plan after studying product requirements document.
Design and specify a test infrastructure to execute the test plan
Develop software to execute the tests specified in the test plan in an automated manner using automation tools
Analyze results of tests and assist feature development engineers in reproduction of test failures and or diagnosis of test failures.
Carry out regression tests
Candidate will have to interact extensively with Software, Hardware and ASIC development and test engineers

Candidate Profile
Should have Bachelor/ Master’s degree in Computer Science / Electrical/ Electronics engineering
Domain knowledge of IP Data Networking is required
3-10 years of software development and testing experience
Must be good at C and any one popular Unix scripting language.
Must have either used a test automation framework or built one or contributed towards building one E.g. Cisco framework, STAF

Desired expertise areas:
TCP/IP Protocols, L2 protocols etc.
Network security protocols and software such as Firewall, NAT/ALG, Authentication, intrusion detection, wireless security, IPSec, IKE, Anti-virus software.
High Availability (HA)
Generic Unix skills with exposure to Data structures, IPC, Kernel programming

Candidate profile
5+ years of experience in design and implementation of carrier class ATM, Frame relay networks, Network Management Systems.(NMS)
C/C++, Unix, Shell scripting with exposure to software development life cycle
RDBMS (Informix/ Oracle).
Experience with Alcatel 5620 NMS is a plus

Candidate Profile
Key Skills: 6+ years of experience in telecommunications
Wireless domain knowledge: GSM, 3G, etc
Strong experience in Java or C/C++/c++ , UNIX
Nice to have: Provisioning Interface knowledge on any network element.
Capability to understand the provisioning requirements of network elements, design, develop and testing based on the requirements.

Candidate Profile
4 -7 + years of experience:
Working on Telecommunications software development projects.
Interacting directly with customers.
Java, C,C++, XML,Oracle, SQL, Unix shell scripting Corba and OSS.
Systems integration, integration testing and customer testing.
Production support of live systems.
Working on Sun OS, HPUX/ Windows/NT.
