Job Title: Unisure Analyst Programmer

Job Overview

The role of Unisure Analyst Programmer requires technical skills in the product toolset (LINC) and will involve working on Insurance UNISURE projects based in the UK. The Unisure Analyst Programmer will use their own technical and Unisure knowledge while working closely with Unisure Business Consultants. The objective is to understand the requirements of the client and to implement modifications to Unisure providing the best technical solution to meet those requirements. The role is relevant to both project start-ups and established projects. Training in Unisure will be provided where the candidate has no existing Unisure skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Liaise with Unisure Business Consultants, inputting technical LINC and Unisure internals knowledge, to assist in production of designs that identify the system programme changes required to meet business requirements. Production of program specifications, development of code and unit testing of Unisure modifications based on design specifications provided. Support of developed code through functional, system and user testing, providing a rapid investigation and turnaround of reported errors. Candidates should be flexible on location as they may be asked to work on various assignments for the UK Insurance Practice.

Skill Set Required
Essential: -LINC and experience in the Financial Services Sector Desirable:- LDA, Unix, Oracle, SQL

Experience Required
Essential: -Minimum 2 years experience in LINC development
Desirable: -Life and Pensions and UNISURE knowledge

INGENIUM BUSINESS ANALYST

ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to an assigned Project Manager or Team Leader, the Business Analyst is responsible for contributing to meeting client commitments according to plan. The Business Analyst is responsible for assisting in defining business requirements in order for clients to meet their business goals.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Utilizes knowledge of both the life insurance industry and INGENIUM functionality by writing functional specifications of moderate complexity and performs various validity testing.
2. Consults with clients to define needs or problem areas, and determines scope of investigation required to recommend possible solutions.
3. Develop test plans of moderate complexity.
4. Executes test plans independently or in conjunction with the client.
5. Contributes to the resolution of common system problems.
6. Assists with client on-the-job training on basic functional components.
7. Participates and contributes during sales studies and/or gap analysis in order to identify functional gaps between the client�s current processes and INGENIUM functionality.
8. Analyzes data to determine solutions to INGENIUM system processing according to the client�s business requirements.
9. Constructs simple process flows.
10. Works within SOLCORP or client�s prescribed project implementation methodology and follows applicable standards.

INSURANCE INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE

Understands and can define Traditional and Non-Traditional Life, Annuity, and Disability Product concepts.

INGENIUM SENIOR PROGRAMMER ANALYST (Consulting)
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to an assigned Project Manager or Team Leader, the Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for contributing to meeting client commitments according to plan. The Senior Programmer Analyst shares responsibility with the project team for the implementation of INGENIUM at client sites.

PRINCIPAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyzes and designs enhancements to the system based on business requirements.
2. Writes technical specifications from functional specifications that define business requirements.
3. Performs complex programming changes.
4. Creates test scenarios and performs unit testing of own programming changes and performs integrated block release testing at the Unit Test level.
5. Resolves complex system problems
6. Trains clients on the architecture, operation and maintenance of the system
7. May provide post-implementation support
8. Provides support to BA�s during functional specification phase.
9. Coaches and mentors SOLCORP and client�s less experienced staff, particularly in the area of developing technical solutions.
10. Works within SOLCORP�s or client�s prescribed project implementation methodology and follows applicable standards.
11. May analyze and design interface requirements between INGENIUM and a client�s corporate and external systems.
